Men! Stop making these Mistakes when you dress for Festivities!!

For generations, men have been stealing the spotlight at every celebration—not by doing too much, but by keeping it effortlessly elegant. From regal Achkans to timeless Salwar-Kurtas, they’ve been giving women a run for their style quotient. But even the best-dressed men can falter when they overlook the details that matter most. One common pitfall? Not dressing as per the season. When you dress for festivities, picking the right style is only half the job done. Comfort is key—and that starts with the fabric. Wearing lightweight linen or cotton in the middle of winter can make your look feel off (and leave you shivering). Instead, opt for rich seasonal fabrics like corduroy or tweed. A well-structured kurta set paired with a smart waistcoat doesn’t just keep you warm—it ensures you own the room with both comfort and class.

Dressing as per the season

Choosing the correct Footwear

It is essential that the footwear you choose compliments the theme and the outfit you’re carrying. This might be the most essential pair up you need to watch out for not screwing up the vibe. Traditional Jutis, moccasins or even boat shoes pair up nicely with every traditional attire.

Accessorizing right

Accessorizing might not be a great aspect of Men’s wear but can make all the difference in the world when done rightly. A sweet silver bracelet or even a single pearl chain brooch can switch the vibe to royalty in mere seconds.

Accessories

Focus on the bottoms

Ethnic doesn’t exactly translate to only traditional. Fuse it up a little bit! Mix and match your attires and you’ll see it doing wonders for your look. Pair up your sleek kurtas with baggy dhoti pants or go for a sleek churidaar with your long achkans. The combinations are endless and so would be the elegance of your presence.

Avoid too much luxuriousness
Festivals are the time to shine, but shining too bright can also bite back on your comfort. Too long or heavy clothing can limit your movement and also cause irritation over a long time. Mustering too heavy accessories can also take the charm of the occasion away. Keep the outfit minimalistic and limit your attire to the complete look.

Be minimalistic

A few of these were some that I had been making personally over the past couple of years without even noticing. Understanding and implementing the above changes has drastically helped me look and feel better than before. I hope we were able to make your dress up time a little better and easier. !!

Happy Festivities
